My Skills
Skills are reusable workflows and processes that teach AI how to work with you. Unlike context (who you are), skills define HOW you want things done.
What are Skills?
Skills are structured instructions that teach AI your preferred workflows, processes, and methods. Instead of explaining how you want things done every time, create a skill once and reuse it across all your AI conversations.
"Use my proposal-writer skill to create a proposal for the Johnson account."
→ AI follows your exact proposal format, tone, and structure every time
"Write a proposal. Start with executive summary, then understanding, then solution, use professional tone, include pricing table, end with next steps..."
→ You explain your process every single time
Skills vs Context
Context files and Skills work together but serve different purposes:
| Aspect | Context | Skills |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Defines WHO you are - identity, background, preferences | Defines HOW you work - workflows, processes, methods |
| Content | 12 rich-text fields about you and your organization | Instructions, examples, and trigger configuration |
| Updates | Changes infrequently - identity is stable | Evolves frequently - refine based on results |
| Sharing | Share once per AI conversation | Use multiple skills in same conversation |
