Custom Domains
Make your ContextFile profile truly yours by using your own domain name. Access your profile at context.yourbrand.com instead of contextfile.ai/username.
Why Use a Custom Domain?
Setting Up Your Custom Domain
Step 1: Choose Your Domain
Decide which domain or subdomain you want to use. Common options:
- •
context.yourdomain.com- Subdomain approach - •
ai.yourdomain.com- AI-focused subdomain - •
me.yourdomain.com- Personal approach
Step 2: Add Domain in Settings
Go to Settings → Domains and click "Add Custom Domain". Enter your domain name (e.g., context.yourdomain.com).
Step 3: Configure DNS
Add a CNAME record in your domain's DNS settings:
Type
CNAME
Name
context (or your subdomain)
Value
cname.contextfile.ai
Step 4: Verify and Wait
Click "Verify Domain" in the settings. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. Once verified, SSL will be automatically provisioned.

Namecheap
Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS → Add New Record → CNAME.
Google Domains
DNS → Custom records → Manage → Add → CNAME record.

Domain Not Verifying
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. Make sure your CNAME record is pointing to cname.contextfile.ai exactly.
